Wedding day

The ceremony happens. We do not send reschedule alerts for the wedding itself. The forecast on the couple dashboard is there so everyone can see the day, not so the date moves.

Rebuild the timeline around the indoor backup and the real sunset. Ask the venue for the rain plan. If none is on file, we list it as no inclement weather alternative listed, and we show the venue phone when we have one.

The published timeline is a recommendation. Times may shift for weather, venue rules, vendors, or traffic. We adapt, communicate, and keep shooting.

Engagement and portraits

Different rule. If the weather is unfavorable, reschedule. No extra fee. We will find a new date that works.

The watch list we already use:

• Reconsider: rain over 40 percent, temperature under 35 F or over 90 F, wind over 20 mph, or gusts over 30 mph.
• Proceed with caution: rain from 20 to 40 percent, 35 to 45 F or 85 to 90 F, wind from 15 to 20 mph.
• All clear: rain under 20 percent, 45 to 85 F, wind under 15 mph.

What to put in the plan now

Start with the venue and the portrait spots. Add the getting ready address, home or hotel. Add the indoor backup as a second pin so travel still works if you move inside.
